José Rivero

José Rivero is an associate at FERRERE offices in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, where he is a member of the Corporate & Commercial team.

In the corporate area José has experience in company organization, good governance and administrative matters in general. In parallel, he has broad experience in due diligence procedures for implementing complex corporate transactions, such as company mergers, restructurings, wind-ups and liquidation.

In the commercial area he participates regularly in preparing and revising commercial contracts, primarily agreements with cross-border impact, as well as civil contracts for rights and obligations.

José graduated summa cum laude as attorney from Universidad Privada de Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia).

Approval of the Gold Law in Bolivia

The Financial System Supervision Authority (ASFI) approved Amendments to the Securities Market Registry Regulations and Related Rules (Circular 749/2022), published in the Financial Regulation Electronic Gazette (GERF). The changes reflect guidelines for issuance of Green Bonds, Social Bonds and Sustainability Bonds implemented by the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) and recommended for promoting integrity in bond market development, as well as transparency and disclosure of information.
