Erika Bañuelos has been a member at FERRERE’s Paraguay office since 2015. Her practice area focuses on advising local and international clients on tax and customs matters. She counsels clients on corporate restructurings, investments in the country, and day-to-day queries. She also assists clients in dealings with tax, customs and judicial authorities on administrative matters and claims.
Her previous professional experience includes participating as litigator against tax authorities in emblematic tax refund cases.
She graduated from Universidad Nacional de Asunción (Paraguay) as Attorney (2007) and as Notary Public (2008).
She complements her professional practice with teaching at two of Paraguay’s main universities, in the Business Legal System course at the Business School of Universidad Nacional de Asunción, and in Finance Law and Tax Law at the School of Law, Policy and Communication of Universidad Autónoma de Asunción.
