Martín Pesce Cutri co-leads the food industry team in FERRERE. He also participates in the Intellectual Property team and has specialized in data privacy.
He advised the Uruguayan Government on processes for adjusting to the new regulatory framework on personal data protection and access to public information. He advises numerous multinationals operating in Uruguay on defining their policies for managing personal data and information assets.
Pesce Cutri has over nine years experience in obtaining food registrations and releases, as well as in handling complex situations related to product imports and recalls. He has advised on the process of legal and regulatory changes on these subjects in Uruguay.
He is involved in Intellectual Property negotiations and agreements, including image rights assignment and sponsorship agreements involving well known players on the Uruguayan national soccer.
He is a teacher at the ORT University on the subject “Negotiation of Complex Agreements” where he lectures Master students on the tools required to and complexity of negotiating agreements related to the provision of services of new technologies linked to the processing of personal data (i.e. cloud computing services), among other types of agreements.
Pesce Cutri frequently participates in academic events and speaks on personal data protection. He is the author of numerous specialized articles for national and international publications, and has appeared regularly in DataGuidance and Global Privacy Book.
