Once again, Latin Lawyer, jointly with the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice, recognized FERRERE as “Leading Light 2025” for the pro bono work done by the firm in Uruguay and Bolivia.
FERRERE is part of a select group of law firms (only 68 in all Latin America) who stand out for fostering and consolidating the pro bono culture in diverse jurisdictions. These firms were selected based on the strategies, initiatives and activities reported in Latin Lawyer’s most recent pro bono survey, prepared with the support of the Cyrus R. Vance Center and clearing houses in the region.
FERRERE is a signatory of the Pro Bono Declaration for the Americas (PBDA), and accumulates more than 2,000 hours per year of pro bono work among the firm's three jurisdictions in which it is present: Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay. This commitment is possible because the firm implements these actions as an essential component of professional practice, recognizing and valuing the people conducting them.
Among other organizations and individuals, this year FERRERE worked together with: the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Uruguay’s National Office for Support to Released Persons (DINALI), Fundación Pro Bono Uruguay, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Doctors Without Borders (MSF) and The Nature Conservancy (TNC).
