FERRERE advised IDB Invest on structuring the largest B-bond in its history, for financing the Central Railway project, aimed at improving connectivity between Montevideo and Uruguay’s interior.

The financing consists of a USD 250 million senior facility through a fixed rate B-bond.

The funds will be used to refinance the project’s existing debt, improving the general terms and conditions for the work’s financing.

The FERRERE team that participated in the transaction was led by partner Sebastian Ramos Olano, along with a broad team of partitioners: Gonzalo Secco (partner), María Eugenia Gitto Croce, Lucía Rosso and Victoria Costa (associates).

At IDB Invest, the work was led by its counsel Ignacio Imas Innella.
