FERRERE advised GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group company, on the purchase of 100% of the shares of Hexacta affiliates in Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Colombia.
FERRERE’S work, led by partner Geraldine Ifrán, included conducting a full legal due diligence of the Hexacta group’s Uruguayan companies, as well as advice on structuring and regulatory, legal and tax aspects of the transaction.
The acquisition is part of GlobalLogic’s global strategy to expand its offerings and talents in engineering, to satisfy the growing demand for digital engineering services. Hexacta, in turn, has been providing high-quality software, IT consultancy, UI/UX design and engineering and data analysis services for over 20 years.
In addition to Ifrán, the FERRERE team included Isabel Laventure, Verónica Raffo, Martín Pesce, Alejandro Alterwain, Isabel Hounie, Walter Planells, María Eugenia Gitto, Giselle Cardoso, María Eugenia Contreras, Cecilia Alberti and Santiago Saint-Exupéry.
