Montserrat Pérez has represented important clients in civil, bankruptcy and corporate litigation, advising major local and international companies.
She has also focused her professional practice on Administrative and Regulatory Law, particularly in connection with the provision of services related to liquid petroleum gas and supply of liquid fuels, with emphasis on compliance with regulations and oversight by the Energy and Water Services Regulatory Unit and the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining. She has experience in Transportation Law, Customs Law and interim relief actions.
She has participated in government contracting processes, advising companies on public tenders.
In support of her litigation activity, she has been a listener-assistant to the Chair in Procedural Law I at Universidad de la República.
She was a speaker at the “Right to Health in Uruguay” conference, representing the Law Clinic of the School of Law of Universidad de la República, held on July 28, 2017.
In 2016 she was a member of the first Working Group representing Universidad de la República at the “9th International Arbitration Competition” held at Universidad de Montevideo. She was awarded special mention by the Law School Council for performance and results.
