FERRERE has once again been recognized by Latin Lawyer and the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice as one of the Leading Lights 2026 firms, a distinction that highlights Latin American law firms that promote and strengthen pro bono practice. This year, the recognition acknowledges the work carried out by the firm's teams in Bolivia and Paraguay, where FERRERE was the only firm to receive this distinction.

The Leading Lights distinction is awarded to a select group of firms (only 66 in all Latin America) based on the strategies, initiatives, and activities reported in Latin Lawyer's pro bono survey, prepared with the support of the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice and clearing houses in the region.

FERRERE's commitment to pro bono work is reflected in its application of legal expertise to initiatives that generate a positive impact on society, supporting organizations working in areas such as human rights, environmental protection, and access to justice. Among its key pro bono engagements this year, the firm collaborated with Paraguay Sin Basura, World Wildlife Fund, Cuerpo de Bomberos Voluntarios de Limpio, Outright International, and the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice.

FERRERE is a signatory to the Pro Bono Declaration for the Americas (PBDA), which promotes the legal profession's commitment to access to justice. The firm incorporates pro bono work into its professional practice and encourages its teams to participate in projects that put their knowledge and experience at the service of those in need. Across Bolivia, Paraguay, and Uruguay, the firm accumulates more than 2,000 hours per year of pro bono work.

These initiatives are driven by local working committees led by Geraldine Ifrán (Uruguay), Carlos Vasconsellos, Marcelo Rodríguez, and Sofía Rattazzi (Paraguay), and Diego Tamayo (Bolivia).
