Two FERRERE teams participated in a key forestry sector transaction, which included sale of forest assets of the trust Fideicomiso Bosques del Uruguay 4 to the Brazilian wood producer BrasPine.
The deal, implemented through one of BrasPine’s Uruguayan subsidiaries and closed at the beginning of April, included lands in the departments of Rivera and Tacuarembó, in northern Uruguay.
One FERRERE team, consisting of counsel Diego Durán and attorney Sofía Vidal, advised BrasPine on all regulatory matters, as well as on obtaining authorization from the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries (MGAP).
The other team, headed up by partners Diego Rodríguez and Carlos Falco, together with professionals Cecilia Trujillo and Ana Inés Martínez, worked with Fideicomiso Bosques del Uruguay 4 on negotiating and closing the agreement.
