FERRERE advised CAF ––Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean– and Infrastructure Fund V, managed by CAF-AM Uruguay, on the financial closing of the OSE Metropolitan Expansion Project.
The transaction comprises two loan agreements granted to Infraestructura Agua Metropolitana S.A.: a CAF credit for approximately USD 80.9 million and financing to Infrastructure Fund V for approximately USD 178.1 million.
In the context of the closing, project documents and financial documents related to the transaction were also signed.
The financing will be applied to design, construction, startup and maintenance of infrastructure as provided in the OSE Project for Expansion of the Metropolitan System, which aims to increase drinking water supply capacity in the metropolitan area.
FERRERE advised CAF and CAF-AM Uruguay throughout the entire process, including structuring and legal analysis of the transaction, as well as negotiation, signature and closing of the documentation.
FERRERE’s participation was headed up by partners Sebastián Ramos and Gonzalo Secco, together with a broad team of practitioners including Lucía Olloniego as leader, and María Eugenia Gitto, Delfina Bisio and Álvaro Uhalde.
