In addition to winning the Uruguay Firm of the Year award for the third year in a row, the IFLR Americas Awards gala marked another relevant milestone for FERRERE, with recognition of Claudia Arietti, an attorney with broad experience at its Asunción office, as Rising Star of the Year.
This is an important recognition, awarded to only a few practitioners. In fact, Claudia was one of three people who received this prize among local firms.
Arietti was recognized for her career path and nearly a decade of experience in M&A, as well as financing and infrastructure, where she has specialized lately. In 2021 alone, the FERRERE practitioner advised on projects and deals for a value exceeding USD 1 billion.
Recently, Claudia participated actively in several of the most relevant transactions in Paraguay, including:
- Atome Energy PLC agreement with Itaipú Technological Park to build a green hydrogen plant in Paraguay. See more.

She has experience advising multilateral organizations, local and foreign companies and financial institutions in matters involving foreign investment, commercial and distribution agreements, bilateral and syndicated, secured and unsecured loans, and banking and securities exchange regulations.
Claudia was a Fulbright Scholar during her LL.M. studies at New York University, and in 2016 she was awarded an NYU International Finance and Development Fellowship at the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) in Geneva.
