Robert Bosch, leading German multinational engineering and electronics company, decided to expand its activities in Latin America opening a brand new office in Uruguay. Though active in the Uruguayan market since 1921, this is the first wholly owned subsidiary incorporated in the country. In Latin America, Bosch already has a direct presence in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Peru.

Through this new subsidiary Bosch reinforces its commitment to the Southern cone of Latin America, a strategic region with excellent long term potential. According to Martín Cerruti, who led the FERRERE team that assisted Bosch, “Bosch Uruguay opening is part of the expansion plan of the Company in the region, strengthening even more the relationship with the clients, focusing at this stage in the power tools and security sectors”.

FERRERE advised Robert Bosch in all the activities needed for the success of this initiative, including incorporating a local entity and customizing it according to the client’s needs, drafting and negotiating the lease for the new offices, obtaining the necessary permits and authorizations to carry out its activities, importing of goods, and hiring of employees.
