Lucía Alvarez de Betolaza

Lucía Alvarez has been a member of the FERRERE Labor and Social Security Department since 2023.

Her practice includes advice to companies on preparation of employment policies, benefit planning, hiring, and individual negotiations, among other areas. She also participates actively in labor litigations, corporate decentralization processes and outsourcing.

She collaborates with companies on matters related to hiring personnel, regularization with government agencies, and compliance with current law. She also has experience in advising international companies, collaborating with them on dispute resolution in connection with labor and social security matters.

Lucía has participated in various corporate acquisition processes, on due diligence teams handling review, analysis and detection of labor and social security contingencies.

She earned her degree as attorney from Universidad de la República in 2015. In December 2016 she completed a Post Graduate program in Applied Labor Law from the Graduate School of Universidad de Montevideo. In 2020 and 2021 she was a faculty member of the Labor Law Department at Universidad de la República.
