Ignacio Tasende

Ignacio Tasende is a member of the FERRERE Litigation and Arbitration team.

His practice focuses on international dispute resolution. He participates in commercial and investment arbitrations administered by the International Chamber of Commerce, CIADI, and the Conciliation and Arbitration Center of the Uruguayan Securities Exchange, in construction, energy, oil & gas and port industries.

He is a member of and currently coaches the international arbitration team of Universidad de la República (Uruguay). As a student he was distinguished as the second best orator at the 13th International Arbitration Competition, where he reached the semifinals. He is also an arbitrator in events such as the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.

He did an internship in international law at the Swiss International Law School under the direction of professor Ingeborg Schwenzer.

He is the author of articles on his specialty and is a member of the Drafting Committee for the Code of Good Practices in Sports Arbitration of the Spanish Arbitration Club (Club Español del Arbitraje).

Since 2019 he has been an Instructor in Procedural Law I and II at Universidad de la República (Uruguay).
