Cindy Rojas

Cindy Rojas is a member of FERRERE’s Corporate team in Asunción, where she focuses her practice on environmental and corporate law, with an emphasis on sustainability and the transition toward sustainable business models.

Her practice involves advising private and public sector clients on the structuring, implementation and development of projects and solutions related to the sustainable use of natural resources, energy efficiency and climate action. She has significant experience in environmental law and climate change matters, as well as in projects involving the development and structuring of high integrity carbon credits.

She also advises on forestry, energy and water law matters, and is actively involved in regulatory and strategic analysis related to sustainability initiatives and ESG compliance. Her day-to-day work combines environmental and corporate considerations, particularly in transactions, projects and investment decisions where sustainability plays a central role. In addition, she advises clients across different sectors on environmental regulatory compliance and management of environmental and climate related risks.

She has participated in capacity building initiatives, international cooperation programs, and public policy formulation processes for sustainable development, working at the intersection of environmental and corporate law in interdisciplinary settings.

Cindy earned her law degree from Universidad Nacional de Asunción and holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Law and Sustainable Development from SOAS University of London. Throughout her professional career, she has worked and collaborated in multisectoral and international cooperation environments with organizations such as the International Bar Association (IBA) in the United Kingdom, the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT), the Wildlife Trust in the United Kingdom, and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in Germany.

She is a member of several international organizations, including the International Bar Association (IBA), the United Kingdom Environmental Law Association (UKELA), the Latin American Climate Lawyers Initiative for Mobilizing Action (LACLIMA), and the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL), where she actively participates in working committees. She has also published specialized articles on sustainability, environmental law, and climate change in national and international technical publications.
