FERRERE Paraguay acted as local counsel to BBVA Securities Inc., BNP Paribas Securities Corp., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., and Itau BBA USA Securities, Inc., as initial purchasers on the reopening of USD 250 million bonds issued under Rule 144A and Reg S rated 5.875% due 2027 by Telefónica Celular del Paraguay S.A.E. (Telecel) in the international capital markets.
The transaction closed on January 28, 2020.
Telecel is the Paraguayan Millicom subsidiary and leader in the Paraguayan telecom market.
