Magdalena Cabrera Araujo

Magdalena Cabrera has been a member of the FERRERE Litigation and Arbitration department since 2023.

Magdalena participates in complex civil and commercial disputes for local and international clients, including insurers, oil companies, financial institutions, construction companies, telecoms and the maritime industry, among others.

Her arbitration practice has included relevant local and international commercial disputes administered by the ICC. She also has experience in judicial corporate bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings and asset recoveries.

Additionally, Magdalena advises clients on contract issues and potential disputes.
In the context of her work with the firm, she participates in pro-bono activities and is a tutor in the high school tutorship program at Liceo Jubilar and Fundación Salir Adelante, and collaborates with the DINALI Law Clinic, providing legal advice to persons formerly deprived of their freedom, in the framework of an agreement signed with the Ministry of Social Development (MIDES).

Since March 2023 she has been an instructor in Procedural Law I and II at Universidad de la República (Uruguay). She has authored articles on her specialty and is a member of the Commission of Young Litigation Lawyers of the Uruguayan Procedural Law Institute.
