Ferrere’s Bolivia office advised Cargill Bolivia on the sale of all its shares in a local company, Aguirre Agro Bolivia (AABSA), owner of a river port used primarily for grain exports, to Central Aguirre Portuaria (CAPSA).

FERRERE’s work included negotiation of the share purchase agreements, drafting of the different transaction documents for the sale transfer, advice on relevant tax aspects of the deal, as well as removal of the company’s Cargill-appointed directors.

Cargill Bolivia has a major operation devoted to grain and oilseed trading in Bolivia and is one of the country’s most important multinationals in this sector.

FERRERE’s advice was led by partner Diego Villarroel, along with attorneys Pablo Heredia and José Rivero.
