On May 10, 2021, SENACLAFT issued a new version (version 2) of the Due Diligence Guidelines for the Free Trade Zones sector.
These Guidelines are aimed at assisting Free Trade Zone Reporting Entities (operators and direct and indirect users) in performing due diligence procedures with respect to their clients.
This new version adds an attachment called “Detailed Report” to be completed by the Reporting Entity together with the pertinent Due Diligence Form, for clients who are individuals or legal entities. It is applicable to Free Trade Zone Users having clients who are nonusers of Free Trade Zones, as provided in article 76 of Decree No. 379/018, dated November 12, 2018.
