In the last quarter of 2015 the National Intellectual Property Office (DINAPI) took a series of actions geared to reducing piracy in Paraguay.

Counterfeits of well-known brands such as Disney and Ray Ban, among others, were confiscated from street vendors who set up on one of the arteries most used by visitors and tourists in Asunción’s microcenter. DINAPI also launched an awareness campaign regarding the consequences of selling counterfeit products.

As indicated on its website, DINAPI is planning to continue implementing similar actions, including methods for reducing the impact of counterfeiting and piracy.
