The Legislature has received a bill of law seeking to cut rates for utilities, eliminating payment of the Value Added Tax and the Transactions Tax for end consumers.

In the understanding that access to basic services is a human right, the bill aims to facilitate access to utilities with a view to improving the population’s quality of life.

This tax cut would cover basic services of drinking water, sewage system, electricity, residential gas and telecommunications.
