Walter Planells

Walter Planells specializes in corporate and contract legal and regulatory advice, including investment financing.

Walter Planells is a member of the Corporate and M&A Department. He advises local and international companies in several areas, such as telecommunications and technology, energy, port, logistics, food, entertaining and manufacturing, among others.

Among the companies he has provided legal advice, the following can be highlighted Microsoft, Movistar, Vestas Turbinas Eólicas, Corporación Navíos, Diageo and Procter & Gamble.

He specializes on corporate, contractual, legal and regulatory counseling, including financing of investments. Over the past year, he participated in the acquisition of the largest pharmacy chain of Uruguay (Farmashop) by the hedge fund Linzor Capital Parners, as well as the acquisition of a Uruguayan IT company by a public North American company, among other operations.

He has been an instructor in Obligations Law at Universidad de la República and in Contract Law at Universidad Católica Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga.
