Her practice area focuses on management and protection of intellectual property assets, including advice to clients on registration, vigilance and defense of trademarks in Latin America, as well as designing strategies for comprehensive protection of portfolios at regional and international levels.

She has worked in Spain, advising and managing the intellectual property portfolio of US and European clients with assets in Latin America. This experience has allowed her to develop legal strategies in line with the regulatory particularities of each country, providing a sold regional vision geared to the practice.

Gimena earned her degree as attorney from Universidad de Montevideo (Uruguay). She completed a master’s degree in International Law at Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, and holds certifications in Digital Law and Artificial Intelligence applied to Law from IE Business School, as well as in Trademark Law and Personal Data Protection from Universidad Complutense in Madrid. She is currently completing a master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law at Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (UNIR).
