His practice focuses on advice and assistance to local and international clients on diverse civil liability and insolvency litigation.

He is an attorney in the firm’s litigation department. Since 2024 he has been an academic collaborator on the subject of the Inter-American Human Rights System at the School of Law and Liberal Arts of Universidad Católica del Uruguay.

Ernesto has conducted various studies on international human rights law, as well as on freedom of expression. He has participated in technical consultancies for Mirador DESCA of the national human rights institution on environment and human rights (DESC and WGPSS recommendations to Uruguay).

In turn, he has studied and written about the relationship between companies and human rights.

He provides technical assistance to the office of judge Ricardo Pérez Manrique in Montevideo.

Since 2022 he has collaborated on the inheritance section of Anuario Uruguayo Crítico de Derecho de Familia y Sucesiones (Uruguayan Annual Family Law and Inheritance Review).
