Diego Regúnega

Diego Regúnega is an associate on the FERRERE Company Law and Corporate Governance team in Paraguay.

His practice focuses on comprehensive advice on company law and corporate governance to local and international companies on processes involving organization, reorganization, bylaws amendments, share transfers, and company dissolution and liquidation. He actively participates in structuring corporate control chains and analysis of ultimate beneficiaries, providing strategic assistance for efficient compliance with regulatory obligations vis-à-vis regulators and oversight authorities.

He also has experience in advising nonprofit organizations, assisting on their legal structuring processes and institutional regularization, with special attention to governance standards and regulatory compliance by such entities.

Before joining FERRERE, he was a legal assistant with immigration advice firms for foreign students, as well as secretary ad honorem in the Academic Coordination area of Universidad Católica “Nuestra Señora de la Asunción” (UCA), and professor of English with private institutions in Brazil and Paraguay.

During his years as a student, he was an intern with the Civil Judiciary and a volunteer with the Pretrial Detention Prevention Program of the National Mechanism for Prevention of Torture (MNP).

He was also recognized by his university as Junior Researcher in the area of Law, reflecting his early academic vocation and his interest in rigorous legal analysis. These experiences contributed to consolidating his understanding of the justice system and his abilities in critically approaching complex legal issues.

He graduated cum laude from the School of Law and Diplomacy of Universidad Católica “Nuestra Señora de la Asunción” (UCA) in 2024. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Laws program at the same university.
