The FERRERE partner and member of its Uruguay Corporate and M&A team was spotlighted in the Women in Business Law Awards 2025, in the Latin America Corporate/M&A Lawyer of the Year category.
This is the second time Ifrán has obtained this award – the first was in 2018 – reflecting the high quality of her work, as well as her experience leading several of the most significant deals in the region’s legal market.
Geraldine Ifrán heads up the firm’s insurance and reinsurance practice, and at the same time is regional coordinator of the Pro Bono practice.
In the context of these awards, Clara Porro was recognized as Latin America Rising Star, also in the Corporate and M&A practice.
The Women in Business Law awards are a recognition of the achievements of the best women lawyers in the Americas, as well as of the firms having the best initiatives and actions to address gender diversity.
The awards are organized in association with several of the most prestigious international publications, such as International Financial Law Review (IFLR), International Tax Review (ITR) and Managing IP.
