French inspection company Veritas will supervise the engineering, construction and start up of the USD 843 million petrochemical fertilizer plant, which is to be built by Korea’s Samsung.
The agreement was signed on 26 July, after FERRERE helped Veritas beat off competition from bidders such as Foster Wheeler and Inelectra International.
Samsung won the tender for the plant last year.
Veritas’ inspection of the project is due to begin immediately.
