Guyer & Regules has helped UK insurer Old Mutual buy a stake in Uruguayan financial services group Aiva Business Platform as part of a Latin American expansion plan.
Ferrere advised Aiva for the deal, which is of undisclosed value and was announced on 19 November.
Old Mutual, which already has operations in Colombia and Mexico, will use the acquisition to boost sales in Latin America in light of a worsening economic climate in Europe.
