The attorney on the FERRERE Corporate and M&A team, Clara Porro, was recognized as Latin America Rising Star of the Year in the Women in Business Law Awards 2025.
This award follows the one Clara won just a month ago, when she was highlighted in the same category by International Financial Law Review. With this, she continues consolidating her position as one of the young lawyers with greatest potential at regional level.
Porro has participated in numerous significant transactions in recent years, both locally and regionally, advising clients like: Globant, Minsait, Mar Austral, Mill Point Capital, Prosegur, NH Foods, Kingspan y Emergent Cold.
She earned her degree as attorney from Universidad de Montevideo (Uruguay) in 2016, and is currently an instructor in Commercial Contract Law at the same university.
In the context of these awards, Geraldine Ifrán was recognized as the best Corporate Lawyer in Latin America, also in the Corporate and M&A practice area.
The Women in Business Law awards are a recognition of the achievements of the best women lawyers in the Americas, as well as of the firms having the best initiatives and actions to address gender diversity.
The awards are organized in association with several of the most prestigious international publications, such as International Financial Law Review (IFLR), International Tax Review (ITR) and Managing IP.
