Rodrigo Millán

Rodrigo Millán focuses on advice to foreign companies in litigation involving Uruguay.

Rodrigo Millán is a member of FERRERE’s Litigation and Arbitration team.

His work focuses on counseling foreign companies in their current and potential litigation involving Uruguay. Among other projects, Rodrigo was part of the team which adviced the main contractor of a Pulp Mill in ICC arbitration against the project’s owner. The Pulp Mill is the largest direct foreing investment in Uruguay’s history.

He also advices foreign investors in potential investment arbitration disputes against Uruguay.

Also, Rodrigo was part of FERRERE’s Corporate and Insurance and Reinsurance teams, where he counseled local and international companies in their daily operations and in the development of multi-jurisdictional investment projects and bond issuances, with a special emphasis on mergers and acquisitions.

Since 2013, Rodrigo has been a member of the International Commercial Arbitration Team of the University of Montevideo, participating in several editions of the Latin-American International Commercial Arbitration Competition and the Willem C. Vis Moot Court Competition in Vienna. In 2015 he and his team received a recognition for achieving the 9th place from over 300 universities.
