Misael Ruiz’s professional practice focuses on tax and administrative law issues, at both administrative and judicial levels, including the Tax Court, the National Court of Justice and the Constitutional Court. He has broad experience in the tax sector in issues involving the Internal Revenue Service, the Customs Service and Municipalities.
Misael graduated as attorney from Universidad Católica (Ecuador) in 1997. He then obtained a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Central (Ecuador) in 2009. He also earned a Diploma in Development of Management Skills and Competence from Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico) in 2007, and holds a degree as Advanced Tax Specialist from Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar (Ecuador), 2017.
Before joining FERRERE, for over ten years Misael held various positions at the Internal Revenue Service, the chief of which was as Legal Head for Zone Management, after which he was recruited as an associate by the Bustamante & Bustamante firm, where he spent seven years, and then continued in private practice at the firm of Flor & Hurtado, until joining FERRERE as of counsel in 2019.
