His professional practice covers inter- and intra-corporate relations, application of corporate good governance rules, handling of subsidiaries, mergers, acquisitions and demergers. He has also been involved in labor dispute settlements, conciliations, labor arbitration, and complex negotiations in the context of company reorganizations.
He has broad experience in telecommunications and has participated in structuring transactions and strategic investment projects for transport network construction, implementation of voice and data wireless systems, and other services.
In parallel, he has provided advice on litigation, commercial arbitration, tenders, and specific telecom service licenses and permits, general administrative processes, and has served as member, on behalf of the Federation of Telecommunications Cooperatives of Bolivia (FECOTEL), on working committees fostered by the Ministry of Public Works, Services and Housing and the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security of Bolivia, to discuss bills of law and general regulations -currently in effect- for the cooperative and telecommunications sectors.
In recent years Gerardo has advised clients of the stature of Abbott, Shell, Maersk, Cargill, Ericsson, Nestlé and Hyundai, among others, on highly complex and high value litigations and transactions.
