Cecilia Alberti

Cecilia Alberti works on matters involving information secrecy, contracts and consumer rights. She has experience in mergers and acquisitions, and bond issues.

Cecilia Alberti participates in FERRERE’s Intellectual Property, Personal Data Protection and Anti-Trust practice groups. Her practice focuses on the corporate area, on issues of confidentiality of information, contracts in general and consumer law.

In the course of her professional experience she has participated in day-to-day advice to local and international companies on recurrent company aspects of their operations (financial statement approval, dividends distributions, bylaws amendments, board of directors changes, etc.), and diverse contractual aspects including inter-company relations and shareholder agreements. She has been involved in complex corporate processes such as mergers, acquisitions and bond issues, and been a member of legal due diligence teams handling review, analysis and detection of contingencies.

From 2011 to 2014 she was a volunteer on the “Neighborhood Free Legal Advice” program of the Law Students Center of Universidad de la República, providing legal counsel on labor, family and rental matters for residents of the Punta de Rieles neighborhood in Montevideo. As of 2013 she was the program’s Managing Coordinator.

COVID-19: Government incorporates innovative telemedicine 3.0 solution for patient queries and tracking

The Government launched a pioneer telemedicine application developed with the collaboration of leaders in the software industry. Its aim is to decongest and facilitate access to medical attention for all persons who suspect they may have contracted the virus, while at the same time preventing possible contagion of health care workers.


Data protection: relevant changes and new obligations

Decree approved by Council of Ministers regulates new personal data protection obligations with major changes.
