Carla is a senior associate at FERRERE Ecuador and a member of the firm’s Labor, Procedural, Administration and Civil law teams.

Carla is a senior associate at FERRERE Ecuador and a member of the firm’s Labor, Procedural, Administration and Civil law teams.

She has developed her practice in various branches of law.  As a student she worked with prestigious local law firms, providing advice to clients on corporate, administrative and litigious matters. Later, she was a legal advisor with government corporations, including the Quito waterworks company (Empresa Metropolitana de Agua Potable y Saneamiento) and the Quito Metropolitan Government urban development company (Empresa Pública Metropolitana de Desarrollo Urbano), where she accrued broad knowledge of government procurement and inter-institutional agreements.

Before joining FERRERE, Carla was head of the Labor Law area and member of the dispute settlement team at a recognized local firm, which allowed her to hone skills in administrative and judicial processes, as well as in labor and contract advice of all types for local and international clients.

As a preventive measure so that workers can perform their jobs using mechanisms to safeguard their health and lives during the health emergency, and to mitigate propagation of the coronavirus (COVID-19), on March 12, 2020, the Ministry of Labor issued Resolution 076-2020.
