Andrés Castiglioni is a member of the Corporate & Commercial and Mergers & Acquisitions groups at FERRERE. He also works in the Litigation and Arbitration area, where he collaborates on civil and commercial cases.
His professional practice primarily involves day-to day advice to local and international companies. In recent years he has participated in mergers and acquisitions of Uruguay operations of international companies.
He is an instructor in Private International Law at the Law School of Universidad de la República (Uruguay). He was a member of that university’s arbitration team in the International Arbitration Competition (9th and 10th editions) and in the International Investment Arbitration Competition (4th and 5th editions).
In the context of community activities, he worked as advisor in family and civil disputes for low-income persons in the Free Neighborhood Legal Advice program of the Law Students Center of Universidad de la República (Uruguay) in the years 2013 and 2014. He has also participated in activities with the community housing organization Techo Para Mi País and is a tutor in the Liceo Jubilar high school tutorship program.
