The bill of the "Law of regularization in the payment of debts and fines of national tax domain" has been officially published in the Bolivian Chamber of Deputies. In the course this week the bill of law N° 300/18 will be dealt with in the Plurinational Legislative Assembly.
In addition to the central issue of regularization of tax debts, this law makes important modifications regarding the confidentiality of taxpayers’ information, which will be lifted in cases of investigations or requests from local authorities or Tax Administrations from other countries in the framework of international legal instruments for the exchange of information.
With this law, Bolivia has taken important steps towards transparency and exchange of tax information, aligning local regulations with international standards.
